SIPMD Documentary Showcase The EU and WHO co-funded Social Inclusion of Persons with Mental Disabilities Project held a documentary showcase in Ankara, bringing together ministries, healthcare professionals, academics, and students to highlight inclusion and raise awareness of mental health challenges.	BBB:Scaling Up Capacity for MHPSS Preparedness Workshop and SimEx From October 28 to 31, Türkiye hosted the "Build Better Before: Scaling Up Capacity for Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Preparedness Workshop and Full-Scale Simulation Exercise." This significant international event gathered 65 health professionals from 22 countries, all dedicated to enhancing global MHPSS readiness.	Pedal for Life: Together We Can Prevent Suicide On September 22, as part of World Suicide Prevention Day on September 10th, we organized the "Pedal for Life: Preventing Suicide is Possible" event. Together with a large group of cyclists, we rode to highlight that suicide is preventable and to raise awareness about the importance of mental health.	Mental Health Gap Action Programme Training in Primary Care Mental Health Gap Action Programme Training in Primary Care was held in Antakya and Iskenderun in 3 sessions with the financial support of the European Union and the World Health Organization within the scope of the Social Inclusion Project for Persons with Mental Disabilities in cooperation with the Ministry of Health.	Grief Counseling Training Grief Counseling Training: Understanding and Intervening in Grief Processes aims to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of the dynamics of grief and a training that includes various models and theories.
CMHC Training Community Mental Health Centres Training, funded by the European Union, aims to enhance community-based mental health services by training psychiatrists, nurses, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists of the Ministry of Health in CMHCs in earthquake-affected regions.	Safewards Training Safewards Training, which is funded by the EU Delegation to Turkiye started at Etlik City Hospital with the presentation of Clinical Nurse Michael Waibel with the participation of 25 mental health workers from the Ministry of Family and Social Services.	Self Help Plus (SH+) Turkish Adaptation SH+ has been translated to Turkish as part of the Social Inclusion Project for Persons with Mental Disabilities, funded by the EU Delegation to Turkiye and implemented by WHO in cooperation with the Turkish Ministries of Family and Social Services and Health. It is now available to the public.	4th Project Annual Conference The Fourth Annual Conference of the Social Inclusion of Persons with Mental Disabilities Project was held on 23-24 November 2022 along with the Second Meeting of the Pan-European Mental Health Coalition in Ankara. Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Services Stakeholders Workshop Report Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Services Stakeholders Workshop took place on 21-22 March 2023 with a total of 80 participants representing various institutions and organizations and reviewed the work carried out so far in the earthquake-affected region, assessing the current situation, and developing a road map for the coming months.

Social Inclusion of Persons with Mental Disabilities Project

The EU-funded Social Inclusion for Persons with Mental Disabilities Project was initiated after the WHO Regional Director for Europe and the Turkish Contracting Authority signed the agreement on 25 July 2018. This project follows the footsteps of the previous Social Inclusion for Persons with Mental Disabilities Project, also completed with EU funding, and is in line with the commitments of Government of Türkiye to improve the services for persons with mental disabilities and EU strategic action directives on disability and mental health.
