Self-help plus (SH+) is a type of intervention that combines traditional self-help techniques with additional support from a professional, such as a therapist or coach. Self-help techniques are activities or strategies that individuals can use to improve their mental health and well-being on their own, without the need for professional support. Examples of self-help techniques include exercising, meditating, setting goals, and practicing relaxation techniques.

There are several types of SH+ interventions, including:

SH+ interventions have been shown to be effective in a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, and substance use disorders. They can be particularly useful for individuals who may not have access to traditional mental health care, or who prefer a more self-directed approach to treatment.
It is important to note that SH+ interventions are not a replacement for professional mental health care.
